Privacy

When you submit the form on /contact/, I receive:

• Name — required, so I know who to reply to.
• Email — required, so I can write back.
• Website — optional. Helps me look at the site before we speak.
• Service — optional. Which service you are asking about, if you chose one.
• Message — required. What you need and any context you want to share.
• Source page — sent automatically as a hidden field (sourcePath) so I know which page you used.

The form also includes a honeypot field for bots. If it is filled, the submission is rejected and nothing is stored or forwarded.

I use your name, email and message to read and reply to your enquiry. Optional website and service fields are only used to prepare for that conversation. I do not sell enquiry data, add you to a mailing list, or pass it to advertisers.

If you email or call using the public contact details instead of the form, I keep what you send me for the same purpose — to respond and, if we work together, to run the engagement.

On the live site, form submissions are sent server-side toWeb3Forms when aWEB3FORMS_ACCESS_KEY is configured. Web3Forms forwards the enquiry to my email. I do not expose that key in the browser or in this repository.

In local development, when no key is set, submissions may be written to a local log file (.astro/enquiries.jsonl) on the machine running the dev server. That file is not committed to git.

The site applies a simple rate limit (five submissions per IP address per ten minutes) to reduce abuse. The IP is used only for that limit and is not stored with the enquiry.

Enquiries stay in my email and any records I keep for running the business — typically for as long as needed to reply, quote, deliver work, or meet ordinary record-keeping requirements. If you want an enquiry removed, write to me and I will delete what I can reasonably find.
